To support this mission, we have initiated several community screening programs.

Examples of these outreach programs, funded from unrestricted donations, include:

• CPC organized and completed the PARTNERS program to identify people in the Denver area who have peripheral arterial disease (PAD). We found that 29% of the participants had peripheral arterial disease and offered them appropriate treatment and/or referrals to reduce their cardiovascular complications.



• We conducted a community health-screening program for diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, blood pressure, and vascular disease.



• With the help of a private charitable foundation, we successfully completed a large cardiovascular risk screening program in the Russian immigrant population of Denver.



• CPC performed a two-year study to evaluate the effectiveness of the influenza vaccine in a high-risk, homeless population in Denver.
