CPC's facility in Denver, Colorado, houses our main research operations, including the medical clinic, data coordinating center, and administrative functions.

Research facilities

The CPC is a free-standing research facility that occupies almost 12,000 square feet in central Denver. We are conveniently located close to both the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Denver Health.

Our research facilities include:

  • Private examination rooms for performing medical history interviews and physical examinations.


  • Secure, on-site storage with independent fire suppression for archiving study documents.


  • Access to large recruitment database of patients with diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, hypertension, lipid disorders and other maladies.


  • Conference facilities for Investigator, DSMB, and Endpoint Committee meetings.


  • Designated parking for patients and clients.


  • Walking distance to hospital and emergency services.



Clinic facilities

Our on-site clinic includes four examination rooms, a laboratory with a –70 C freezer for storing blood samples, a locked investigational drug room, and three special testing rooms.

Our clinic is equipped with a variety of specialized testing facilities, including:

  • On-site retinal (fundus) photography, echocardiography, electrocardiography, and peripheral vascular testing, all conducted by certified technicians.


  • Clinical laboratory facilities staffed by a certified laboratory technician.


  • Exercise testing facilities for testing in cardiovascular disease populations.


Our clinic allows us to house patients for extended day evaluations for up to 12 hours for serial pharmacokinetic blood sampling and non-invasive or minimally-invasive safety, efficacy, and pharmacodynamic assessments.

CPC is equipped with state-of-the-art computing technology dedicated to the task of managing clinical study data in compliance with regulatory guidelines. All of our clients to benefit from the following resources:

  • Upgraded, fault-tolerant servers running in a Windows 2000 Advanced Server environment.


  • Secured Storage Area Network to ensure data availability and security.


  • Custom database design and statistical analysis using Windows 2000 compatible relational database systems and SAS software.
